I used London Relocation when my family and I moved to London from the United States in November 2009. There are a dizzying array of choices of places to live in London, but very little information on the internet gave a real idea of what was actually available and livable
for a family of three. Any move can be stressful, but one of the great things about working with London Relocation on this was the way they gather your requirements and then you go out on a single, focused day. I probably would have spent 3 weeks on my own researching and looking at places! And of course, I just didn't have the time to do this. We arrived on a Thursday, went out on a Saturday, and signed by the end of the day Saturday. We have been very happy with the choice we made. I recommend Anthony and his team at London Relocation highly and would use them again!

"Viewed on a Monday and got keys on a Wednesday"
Anthony picked me up at the hotel at 8:45am, and we went straight to the bank and opened an account. Then we viewed 22 properties in 3 areas...22!!! I finally understood then what I was told over the phone about the ability to see that many properties in one day (and with the criteria I asked for). All were within a quarter mile of a Tube station and centrally located, and there were 4 that I really liked in the end. I viewed on a Monday and got keys on a Wednesday. Excellent service--I would recommend them to anyone not knowing London. From a communication standpoint, the plain fact that the staff is American helped so much with understanding the market and getting the deal done efficiently, nothing was lost in translation.

"Valuable to have an expert by our side"
London Relocation was a great choice. When planning on
moving to London I was overwhelmed by the neighborhoods, transportation, prices and rental agencies. My wife and I couldn't get any traction from most rental agencies and really felt like we were about to be ripped off. The market is difficult to navigate and I've never been in a rental market that is so hectic so we found it valuable to have an expert by our side. In the end, we saw over 15 different options and AJ helped us understand fair prices so that we didn't get ripped off but still got what I wanted out of our London apartment. Hindsight, we found this service even more valuable because just finding an apartment can be very expensive because of temporary expenses like hotel fees, restaurant food, transportation, phone (international dialing) and internet that really added up the more time we spent not in our apartment. After we found our perfect spot, London Relocation was very helpful with helping negotiate and following up to make sure we were settled in with phone, internet, gas, electric, TV and everything else I needed. It's good to have somebody on your side when you move into a new town and if moving again I would hire London Relocation again in a second.

"I cannot say enough about them!!"
When I moved to London from New York, I was initially daunted by the prospect of finding a flat in a very short period of time. Anthony met me with a driver my second day in the UK and proceeded to show me almost 20 flats in one day. He had carefully chosen properties that corresponded to the neighborhoods I was interested in, the price range I had established and the type of apartment I was looking for. He tailored our appointments throughout the day to my reactions to the previous properties and could not have been more responsive. He offered great advice without being pushy and was constructive with his own feedback. Despite my jet lag, indecision and laundry list of specifications, Anthony showed me a wide range of flats that allowed me to find exactly what I was looking for. He was clearly well-informed about the market and my options and could not have been nicer. Anthony truly made what would otherwise have been a difficult process hassle-free. Ultimately, he found me a fantastic flat in an amazing location. I could not be more excited about my new place, London Relocation truly made my transition to the UK infinitely easier and less stressful. I cannot say enough about them!!

"Smooth and Simple" Flat-Finding Service
I found London Relocation on the internet prior to moving to London from Toronto. At that time, I was greatly frustrated with the process of trying to find a flat from across the pond. I sent Anthony an email. An hour later he had called me, asked all kinds of questions to figure out a bit about my personality and, as a result, where in London I may want to live. Two days after I had arrived, I met Anthony at the Starbucks at Notting Hill Gate. He had lined up 18 places for us to see that day. By the time I had seen about six of them, I had found several about which I was very excited. However, Anthony insisted that we should see them all; and so we did. By day´s end, I had to choose from about 7 flats. I chose one and signed the lease that evening. I was amazed and, more importantly, settled. London Relocation, and, in my case, Anthony in particular, also added more value to my relocation process, helping me to get set up with essentials such as a cell....I mean, a mobile....and a bank account. For a North American who has not lived in the UK, believe me, these were of great assistance since, shall I say, customer service at places such as banks, is simply not as we are used to. To summarize, with the help of London Relocation my move to London was so (!) much more smooth and simple than it otherwise would have been. I recommend London Relocation without reservation.

Moving to London from Oslo
When we got the offer to move to London from Oslo we didn't have much time to find ourselves an apartment. We soon realised that's it's practicly impossible to do so from a distance. We started looking for a company that offered the service we needed and stumbled upon the London Relocation website. Throughout the process they have been very accommodating to what we have given as our requirement for an apartment that was up to our standards as young professionals moving from a country with one of the highest living standards in the world, moving to a brand new culture and country we now feel we have found what we were looking for - a home.

"You get coverge you simply won't get on your own"
I also highly recommend using London Relocation--and no, I do not work for them!
If you are not coming from NYC, then the idea of paying someone 1 month's rent to find an apartment may seem excessive. And it usually is. But for a major overseas relocation (especially for someone who either doesn't travel extensively or has not lived overseas before) the service was invaluable.
Even picking neighborhoods in London is tough, as it's like New York--many amazing neighborhoods, all with different cultures and sets of pros and cons. My firm paid for me to come over for a week to look for a flat. Most people I know took multiple weeks to find a place.
I went with London Relocation (which the firm did NOT pay for) and true to the adverts I saw somewhere between 20 and 25 flats in one day. You get coverage you simply won't get on your own dealing with letting agencies in London which have different offices and contacts for every neighborhood.
The biggest value-add, however, was the negotiation piece. Unlike in New York, in London one is expected to negotiate on price. AJ worked to find something in my budget and then got my landlord to drop the rent by about 12% off the asking price, and by almost 20% off what the previous tenant was paying.
So I basically spent 1 day (15 hours) looking for flats and had a lease signed that night. So the rest of the week was essentially a paid vacation.

When I got a job in London at the start of 2010 my major concern was finding a nice place to live. After finding London Relocation through Google I contacted them to see what they could do for me.
