If you’re in the process of planning to move to London right now, hopefully that means you’ll be able to rent your London apartment and settle in in time for the London 2012 Olympic games! Per the official London 2012 website, 10.8 million tickets will go on sale, 2 million of which toward the Paralympic Games.

The official event schedule and ticket prices have been announced, so consult the links provided here if you’d like to peruse dates and prices by event. Apparently, 90% of the events are priced at £100 or less, and 66% are under £50. There are also a quarter of the events that’ll be really reasonable (£20 or less) in addition to those that are totally free, like the marathon, triathlon, and road cycling. Discounts apply for children and seniors, of course, with kids aged 16 and under “paying their age” (i.e., if you’re 15, you’ll pay £15) and senior citizens over 60 years of age paying a flat £16.

This is not to say the finals of the most popular events won’t cost ya if you’re age 17 through 59. The men’s 100m final, for instance, is priced up to £750, though the heats go for up to £150 . The ranges, however, go as low as £50 for the finals and £20 for the heats.

And literally banking on the year in which this historic event will be held, London 2012 is charging up to £2,012 to attend the opening ceremony (*gulp*). On the other hand, they’re also charging as low as £20.12!

London 2012 Olympic tickets do not go on sale to the public until March 15th, 2011, but what you can and should do at this time to ensure you can buy them is register (it’s easy and takes like a minute). So if you’re moving to the UK before the summer of 2012, what a thrilling time to be making that London relocation and sharing in this capital’s global spirit!
